Maria Menounos, the acclaimed actress and television host who serves as Ambassador of the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, met with HOC President Isidoros Kouvelos to discuss the next joint initiatives aimed at supporting Team Hellas.

During the meeting, they reviewed a series of initiatives to be launched in the United States in the coming months, with the goal of raising awareness and actively engaging the Greek-American community in support of Team Hellas ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Maria Menounos, who maintains strong ties with both Greece and the Greek-American community, will leverage her influence and extensive network of contacts to advance the Hellenic Olympic Committee’s mission of supporting the Greek athletes who will represent the country at the Olympic Games.

Hellenic Olympic Committee President Isidoros Kouvelos thanked Maria Menounos for her continued commitment and willingness to actively support the Greek Olympic family.

“Maria, thank you for standing by our side and supporting our effort to send the strongest possible delegation to the 2028 Olympic Games. Your popularity and influence in the United States will undoubtedly inspire and mobilize Greeks across America. We have already established important contacts with prominent members of the Greek community and secured training facilities, as well as accommodation for our athletes, both before and during the Olympic Games,” said Mr. Kouvelos.

For her part, Maria Menounos, who will also serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the Olympic Flame Ceremonies for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, expressed her enthusiasm for her role as Ambassador of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. She emphasized that it is a great honor to contribute to the effort to support Team Hellas and to unite the Greek community in the United States so that Greek athletes receive the strongest possible backing on their journey to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
