Apostolos Christou is the first Greek swimmer to secure his presence at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Αt the international meeting “Acropolis”,  held in Olympic Sports Complex of Athens, in the morning qualifying of the 100m. backstroke had a time of 53.22, achieving the World Aquatics limit (53.74) for Paris.

Christou is the fourth athlete to qualify  in Paris following Anna Korakaki (shooting), Antigoni Drisbiotis (athletics) and Christina Moschi (shooting).
