The Olympic Flame arrived in Pylos at the end of the first day of the Torch Relay for the “Paris 2024” Olympic Games.

Symbolically, the Olympic Flame spent the night outside the residence of Olympic champion Konstantinos Tsiklitiras, with the Municipality of Pylos-Nestor organizing a beautiful ceremony, featuring speeches from the Mayor, the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Spyros Capralos, the Head of the Olympic Torch Relay Committee of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Thanasis Vasileiadis, and the representative from France, Véronique Bruez.

Prior to this, the Olympic Flame, after its birth in Ancient Olympia, had passed through Amaliada – Ancient Ilida, Andravida, Gastouni, Pyrgos, Zacharo, and Filiatra, where the Torchbearer was the former international football player Nikos Lymberopoulos.
