Following the installation of the new high-performance athletics track, the lane marking has now been completed, making the Panathenaic Stadium fully ready to host Diamond League-level athletics events.

The historic Kallimarmaro is once again assuming the role that befits its history and prestige, combining respect for its cultural heritage with the demands of modern sport.

This major upgrade is being carried out thanks to the financial support of Capital Maritime & Trading Corp., led by Evangelos Marinakis, whose contribution is playing a decisive role in the revival of one of the world’s most important sporting monuments.

At the same time, the cleaning of the marble surfaces continues, while the installation of new environmentally friendly LED lighting is set to begin shortly, providing exceptional illumination capabilities and further enhancing the Stadium’s infrastructure.
