The cauldron on Acropolis was lit from the hands of the gold medalist of Tokyo in rowing Stefanos Douskos and the symbol of Olympism sending its timeless messages right through the most emblematic monument of Athens and Greece. The Olympic Flame for the Olympic Winter Games “Beijing 2022” was handed over to Stefanos Douskos, from the sailing champion Ariadne Spanaki.

The Olympic Flame Handover Ceremony to the Ceremony to the Organizing Committee “Beijing 2022” will take place on Tuesday, October 19 at 12:00 at the Panathenaic Stadium.
