The Hellenic Olympic House at Long Beach during the Olympic Games “Los Angeles 2028”
The Hellenic Olympic Committee and the Mayor of the City of Long Beach, Rex Richardson, are proud to announce the establishment of a Hellenic Olympic House at Long Beach during the Olympic and Paralympic Games of 2028 in Los Angeles.
Home to one of the oldest and most vibrant Greek Diaspora Communities in the United States, the city of Long Beach will host the second largest number of Olympic sports in 2028, making it an ideal location for the Hellenic Olympic House.
“It is an honor to be selected by the Hellenic Olympic Committee as the location for the Hellenic Olympic House for the 2028 Games,” said Mayor Richardson. “Greece is the ‘historic heart’ of the Olympic Games, and their presence in Long Beach will bring a whole new level of excitement and historical and cultural value to our community. We look forward to welcoming them to our incredible city.”
The President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Isidoros Kouvelos, underlined the importance of this initiative, stating: “The establishment of the Hellenic Olympic House in Long Beach is a dynamic symbol of Greece’s timeless connection to the Olympic Games and a living bridge between the birthplace of Olympism and the global Olympic community. In Los Angeles, through this House, we will share our culture, history, traditions, and the Values of Olympism-excellence, friendship, and respect, which remain our most powerful contribution to humanity.”

The Hellenic Olympic House will be a welcoming space dedicated to showcasing the best that Greece has to offer. It will host a variety of events and exhibitions relating to Greek History, Culture and Arts, as well as being a meeting point for all Olympic Games enthusiasts. A key feature of the Hellenic Olympic House will be the official events hosted by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, which will provide an opportunity to meet and interact with Olympic athletes, celebrate their hard work and learn about the true notion of the Olympic Ideals.
The Hellenic Olympic Committee looks forward to working together with the Greek American Community in Long Beach and throughout the United States, as well as with Mayor Richardson and other local authorities, the Embassy of Greece in Washington and the Consulate General of Greece in Los Angeles in bringing a unique hospitality experience.
Being the birthplace of the Olympic Games, Greece aspires to make the Hellenic Olympic House a place where people come together to honor its enduring role in the long history of the Games and witness the spirit, the creativity and hospitality of Hellenism.
