Greece will award Thomas Bach the highest honor
The President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, traveled to Greece and attended the Opening Ceremony of the 59th International Session for Young Participants of the International Olympic Academy that took place on the Pnyx Hill and spoke to 171 young people from all over the world.
Mr. Bach had also the opportunity to meet the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, at the Presidential Mansion, with whom he had a cordial conversation.
Greece’s President informed Mr. Bach that he would be awarded the highest distinction with which Greece can honor a foreign citizen.
