The Hellenic Olympic Committee announces the opening of applications for the Torchbearers in the Torch Relay on Greek soil, for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The Torch Relay will take place from November 26 to December 4, 2025, starting, as always, from Ancient Olympia with the Lighting of the Olympic Flame and concluding at the Panathenaic Stadium, where it will be handed over to the Italian organizers.

The route will cover many regions of mainland Greece, while each applicant will have the opportunity, to indicate the location where he wish to run, within the framework of the predetermined route.

Applications open today, September 10, 2025, and the process will remain open for one month.

The candidates can submit the application on the HOC website: www.hoc.gr, at the top left section by clicking on the option TORCH RELAY APPLICATION.

The application platform will remain available until October 10, 2025, at which time the HOC will proceed with the final selection of torchbearers who will participate in the Milano Cortina 2026 Torch Relay, based on the criteria set by the Olympic Torch Relay Commission.
