Τhe Dress Rehearsals continue in Ancient Olympia for the Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, next Wednesday, 26 November.

The final rehearsal as well as the Ceremony will take place at the Archaeological Museum of Ancient Olympia at 11:30, without the presence of spectators due to the limited space.

The change of venue was deemed necessary due to the forecast of adverse weather conditions expected on both days, as the Hellenic Olympic Committee prioritizes safety and the smooth conduct of the events.

During today’s rehearsal by Choreographer Artemis Ignatiou with the Priestesses and the Kouros at the Temple of Hera, the Flame that will be used in next Wednesday’s Ceremony was lit from the rays of the sun.
