Professional career: Vice-Chairman of Bankers Trust Company (1979-1990), President of the Athens Stock Exchange and CEO of the HEXA Group companies (2004-2010), President of the European Stock Exchange Association (2008-2010). President and CEO of Star Bulk Carriers (2010- ). In addition, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euroclinic group and member of the Board of Directors of GEK TERNA. He has served as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Greece, President of ETEBA, President of Astir Insurance Company, CEO of EPIROS SA. , CEO of EFG Balkan Investments and CEO of Bank of Athens.
Sports Activity: Greek Swimming Champion (1969-1974), athlete of the National Water Polo Team at the Olympic Games in Moscow (1980) and Los Angeles (1984)
